Generation zest

Are you getting on a bit? Don't worry. When you reach your sixties and seventies you will have the time of your life.

Work, mortgage and school fees will be a thing of the past.

And you will have, in abundance, the one thing that younger people want, but cannot buy: time to enjoy life.

According to research, older people are having a ball. The overall life satisfaction resembles a U-shaped curve.

Teenagers are at the top of the chart, but the joy of life swiftly plummets by 18, flattens out in the twenties, dips in the thirties and forties - and then begins to rise again in the mid-fifties.

By the time you reach 70, your contentment with life will reach its peak. You will have a real zest for life.
