Nigerians dey head to di polls on 25 February, 2023 to vote in a new set of leaders both president and legislators.

For dis explainer, we break down how to vote on election day into seven simple steps to guide you.

Step 1:

For di polling unit, join di queue. INEC official go check if you dey di correct polling unit and confam say di PVC wey you present, na you get am.

Step 2:

INEC official go use di card reader to confam and check say your PVC na original. Dem go ask you to put your finger ontop di card reader.

Di official go ask you for your PVC and confam say you dey for di Voters Register. Dem go tick your name and put ink for your finger to show say you don vote. If dem no see your name. You no go fit vote.

Step 4:

Di Presiding officer go stamp, sign and endorse your ballot paper. Dem go give you di ballot paper wey dem fold small, di area wey dem print ontop go dey inside and dem go direct you go di voting cubicle.

Step 5:

Stain your finger wit di ink wey dem give and mark di box for your preferred candidate/party. Roll di ballot paper back just like dem give you and make am flat.

Step 6:

Now comot from di voting cubicle and drop di ballot paper inside di ballot box.

Step 7:

Leave di Polling Unit or you fit even wait if you want, to watch di process until dem declare di result.

Remember say e dey illegal to take foto of your ballot paper or allow anybody to take di foto. If you do am, you fit land inside gbege wit security agencies.
