Dis na why one chief for Jar Kuka town, Mallam Isyaku Jar Kuka, wey dey Kano northwest Nigeria tell BBC say di tin turn embarrassment after flood wey attack im town comot im Rawani (wey be symbol of crown wey chiefs for northern Nigeria dey put for head) in front of im pipo carri am go.

"Na di most shameful and embarrassing thing wey don happun to me and how di tin happun be say rain fall for about two hours on Monday and I bin visit one neighbouring town wey dia chief die so as I dey come back.

"As I just dey enter Jar Kuka, di rain affect road wey I go pass na im I dey try dodge wia water dey na im I fall inside."

"Immediately I fall because di water plenti, na so e remove my Rawani carry am go, na some hefty young men come comot me from inside di water wey I fall, but by den di water don carry my cap and Rawani go."

"Na di cap dem first see after some boys block am for one corner but the Rawani na for one nearby town dem finally see am." Dis na wetin Chief yan.

"Imagine dem carry chief wey fall inside flood water without im full clothing and crown na shameful ting for any culture."

Mallam Isyaku say na shame for a chief like am to go through wetin happun and e tok say politicians wey suppose do something about di flooding wey dey disturb di area every year suppose carry blame.

"Dis na also shame to our politicians wey know about dis problem but no gree solve am, will they be happy to hear say dia chief fall inside water and e carry im Rawani go?"

Di chief say na di following day on Tuesday some pipo for di town contribute N50,000 wey dem use buy sand to fill some places wey water still dey but e add say water wey fall later dat day mean say dem just waste money, so e dey beg state goment to enta di mata.

Some pipo wey dey stay for di town tell BBC say, na dem join hands to rescue dia chief after di flood attack di town and dem say na something wey no suppose happun to a leader.
