Halima Jubril na di blind chef wey dey make waves and na she be di founder of Blind Kitchen Creations for Kaduna state inside northwest Nigeria.

Di university student sidon wit BBC Pidgin wia she tok about plenty tins wey inspire her to begin cook and bake even though she neva see anything since wey dem born her 22 years ago.

“Dem born me blind and na wen I bin dey around 6 or 7 years I realise say I dey different from oda pipo becos wen I dey play wit oda children I no dey fit see di objects and I go hear dem dey say ‘see am, see am.”

Halima say na her sense of smell, touch and taste dey help her for her work as she no dey fit see anything.

“Since wen I small na im I begin cook and I thank my mama for believing in me and allowing me to learn so many tins.

“Wit my sense of smell, touch and taste nothing wey I no fit cook and my customers dey always come back for more.”
