“Our personnel of di command go back wit a re-enforcement team to protect di entire Gandu community but before dem go reach di house of di deceased, di gunmen don carry im wife comot.

“Our personnel comb di entire area but all efforts to rescue di woman proved abortive,” im add.

Ibrahim Ismaila, president of University student union no dey happy wit di response of di police.

Ismaila tell BBC News Pidgin say incidents of kidnap na "regular occurence" for di school area and we di students no dey feel safe at all at all".

Di student union leader wey tok how di attack happun say dem bin hear say some bad boys dey harrass some students, dey snatch pipo phones, around "Confidence Lodge".

"We go di wit some security pipo from di school, we also call soja pipo and dem come wit three vehicle, but before we reach, di attackers don run," e tok.

"But for night, I get call say gunmen don enter Gandu, and dem carry about seven students from dia. Di two students wey survive di attack been hide for inside ceiling," di SUG president tok.

"Dis kain tin na wetin dey happun regularly for dis university. Even our State govnor (Abdullahi Sule) bin visit us some weeks ago, and e tok plenty tins wey im go do to stop insecurity for di university. E tok beta beta tins o, but nothing don happun since den, and situation still dey go on."

"Dis matter sef don pass our vice chancellor, becos im sef don try im best. Even sojas dey come regularly, but diz kidnappers don sabi wen to attack and which routes to follow run."

'Dem dey kidnap us evriday' - victims lament

Victims of kidnapping wey dey stay for Gandu community, home of di Federal University of Lafia, (FULAFIA) say di tin wey dia eyes don see no be small.

One of di victims, Daniel Ebuga, wey be third-year student narrate to BBC News Pidgin di trauma wey im pass through months ago wen dem kidnap am.

Im say "na evriday dem dey kidnap pipo witout any fear" di students and pipo wey dey stay for di community don dey endure painful ordeal as jaguda pipo still dey continue to kidnap dem.

"Di police no dey help us, di criminals dey come raid evritime especially on Mondays. Dem don make life for campus dey full of constant fear. How we wan take write exams wit dis fear?" E tok

Another student say di recent incident wey happun wia dem kidnap a group of students wey dey stay inside one lodge named Confidence be victims, and na only few pipo manage to escape.

Di student accuse police of extortion. Dem say police dey collect moni from dem but no dey give dem beta security.

Di students tell BBC Pidgin say dem no dey fit sleep peacefully again. Dem dey request for security post wey di military go man, and na di only way dem go get beta solution to dia security palava.
