The National Grid have made a Carbon Intensity API, external, which predicts the carbon intensity and generation mix of the electricity grid in each region of Great Britain.
The Carbon Intensity Exporter is an application which allows the data from the Carbon Intensity API to be made available through Prometheus monitoring software, external, which can then be visualised in dashboards with software like Grafana, external.
This allows you visualise how the carbon intensity and energy mix look around Great Britain, both now and for the next 48 hours.
