Hajra's husband volunteered to work as an interpreter for UN troops when they came to Srebrenica in 1993. He had the chance to leave the enclave in 1995, but chose to stay with his family. His remains have still not been found.

"A lot of mothers will be dead before they find out anything about their sons," she says.
