Isabelle Fletcher-Wilson and Anna Redgate say... The Harry Potter film was brilliant!! The Quidditch match was much more exciting than reading about it. The special effects made us feel part of the match and the crowd. It was all so well done that the whole film exceeded your imagination. We were a bit disappointed that they missed parts out like the second quiddich match where Snape was refereeing, the wizards duel and the bit about the Norbert the dragon was different. The dark forest was very scary and mysterious because nobody knew what was lurking in the shadows. The voice of 'you know who'! was like a Slytherin snake creeping up on you. The face of Lord Voldermort was so grotesque and horrible that we could only just bear to look. Seeing Fluffy for the first time is actually rather scary. The drool that drops from his mouth is disgustingly slobbery and made us feel totally sick. | | Temper, temper. Hermione tells Harry a thing or two |
Watching the keys flying around made us feel dizzy and made us feel as if we were there. The chess was amazingly vicious and gruesome and it was more like we were on the horse of the knight and were standing on the chess board ourselves. The end was really exciting and we felt like we were on the table of Gryffindor and we were celebrating too. Altogether Harry Potter was a 100% film with a stunning cast. Meanwhile John Henry Towler says... My opinion of Harry Potter was Brilliant! I went to see it yesterday on a preview show at UCI Derby. The best part of the whole thing was when Harry Potter was playing Quiddich especially when Harry's broom went out of control. The best characters were Ron, Hagrid, Fang and Norbert. I thought Ron didn't seem quite like the book said, but the others did. I wish Snape had been a bit worse because he was just a bit of a grumpy teacher in the film. The most realistic thing for me was probably Norbert, I loved it when he appeared out of the hot egg. Hogwarts was much larger than I thought it would be, but it looked like it should have and it was a great place to go to school! I loved the chess game because it was brutal and harsh just like in the book. The only thing I was disappointed about was that they kept missing chunks out of the book!
