We want YOUR help in tracking down a particular type of ladybird which is endangering our native species. They're called Harlequin Ladybirds and they're spreading fast! The Harlequin Ladybird arrived in Britain in summer 2004 - and according to the UK Ladybird Survey, it's threatening our native species! ![]() Harlequin ladybird pic: Michael Majerus The society identifies it as the most invasive ladybird on Earth. Since arriving in North America in 1988, it is now the most widespread ladybird species on the continent. A map recording sightings on the UK Ladybird Survey website shows how rapid the spread has been across the UK. But has it reached North Yorkshire yet?
