About Nick Fletcher I am 41 years old and work in Admin. My hobbies are music, photography and creative writing. I started writing poetry seven years ago and progressed to stories and script writing. A couple of years ago I had two children's stories on radio Ryedale and a short ghost story on this website. The creative process I've learnt a lot from BBC Writersroom site and find the script archives and resources brilliant. It even has a Script formatting template to download. I have attended a couple of creative courses which have been very beneficial to me. I feel that I am continually developing and learning all the time. I have written drama samples and four 30 minute sitcom scripts, one of which received good feedback from a production company. You should write only when you feel inspired. Write down ideas, plots, lines of dialogue. Have a writers journal and start my creating engaging characters. Join a writers group or Creative writing course. Write what you know. I would like to write more drama scripts and my big ambition is to write a hit sitcom. |
