My name is Rasheeda Nalumoso. I am 19 and am just about to start York University’s English/Writing Performance course. This fact still makes me want to jump up and down! I have a fantastically varied and convoluted background having lived in Uganda, Australia as well the UK. I have just completed an art foundation course at Oxford Brookes University in my gap year. It has been brilliantly exhilarating, mad and paint-splattering. I love being behind the scenes in theatre. I fear I’m about as hard core as dramatists come having regularly ushered and worked backstage – wait for it - for FREE for a local professional theatre company. This past year I have taken out my latent aggression by rowing ferociously up and down the river Thames in the attempt to rid myself of my novice status. I have recently done just that and can proudly proclaim to be a senior 1V rower- which might mean nothing to you out there but take it from me I can move storms! Well with a little help from the three other members of my crew! I have always wanted to write creatively outside of the framework of exam systems.
