	The Shorts Car? Yes it's true. Shorts, the Belfast aircraft company, did make cars was probably as a means of diversifying. They were built in their factory at Newtownards. This little runabout was called the "Nobel". Do you remember them? Perhaps you even worked on the contruction assembly line?		A history of Cinema in Belfast and the role of the Curzon. In 1969 there were over twenty cinemas still operative in Belfast. By 1978 there were only five still operative due to the harsh decline in cinema-going due to television, political unrest and competition from multi-screened complexes.
