What We Do We offer a number of projects including: - Health - the Traveller community have access to health awareness programmes, also regular visits to voluntary and statutory providers
- Education - an alternative education project provides educational support for Traveller young people who are disengaged from mainstream education and without the necessary skills for employment
- Cultural Heritage – this project is designed for delivery to all service providers so when in contact with Travellers there will be an understanding of their culture and tradition
- Play Development – an after schools project developing and supporting 4-12 years olds in education via play, homework support and educational trips
- Youth Work – designed around personal and social development where participants assist in the planning, design and implementation of their programmes
- Arts – works with all of the above to assist participants in promoting their self identity using arts as the medium
Examples of our Work - The arts project recently launched Fishing for Food and Mushrooms, a book and CD of Traveller poems and stories compiled and produced by the children of St. Mary’s primary school
- Our Alternative Education Project has launched a pilot ‘skills for work’ programme for 16-18 year old young Traveller men
