Community Relations Council (CRC)

CRC’s aim is to promote a peaceful and fair society based on reconciliation and mutual respect.

What we do

  • Provide support (finance, advice, information, resources) for local groups and organisations
  • Develop opportunities for cross community understanding
  • Increase public awareness of community relations work
  • Encourage constructive debate throughout Northern Ireland

Examples of our work

  • Spanner in the Works Theatre Company received a grant from CRC to assist in the creation and production of a short drama Hello, Does Anyone Care? exploring issues affecting young people. The actors were young adults from different communities across Belfast.
  • Funded under the Peace II Programme - Sarah Moves On, a 90 minute programme produced for 4Learning by Westway Film Productions Ltd. (Citizenship, Literacy and PSHE for 8-11 year olds)
