The Swedish Swede

The Swedish swede
was put to seed
on the farm with all the vegetables

for an immigrant
the time he spent
was growing – “good to gradual”

Though he did no harm
the swede got farmed
and put into the gruel

with onions carrots
leeks and parsnips
and there was a big turnip at his funeral
