Some have made their mind up And gather near the freight The Hobo’s run, like lemmings Hopping to another state. “Are you sure it’s true?” an old man said Drinking coffee from a mug His adam’s apple bobbed in fear As he took another slug. “Back in the 30s” the old man said “We had the great depression But if the news I hear is true Guys, this is some regression.” “Of course it’s true” said weasel Pete Biting at his dirty nails “Boys, I ain’t a staying here I’m heading for the rails” “Now, hold on guys” said one eyed Joe “Let’s talk the whole thing out” “I aint a staying” yelled weasel Pete “Boys I’m a getting out.” Panic spread like wild-fire The Hobo’s up and fled “I’m staying boys” said one eyed Joe And lay back on his bed. “Don’t be a fool” the old man said “Don’t be a stupid Bo Get your pack upon your back Come on, it’s time to go.” The Hobos headed for the trains Yep, every single one.
