Anything to declare?

I was born in London and reared in Derry. I went to Queen's University where I got myself a history degree. I taught for fifteen years but finally escaped.

I presented my first BBC Radio Foyle programme in July 1987. (He also won a Sony Award in 1993!!! - Ed.) I now do two programmes a week and I am occasionally asked on other BBC programmes as a music pundit whenever somebody important dies. I do a nice line in musical obituaries.

I am also a singer and a songwriter.
