Radio Foyle has worked with many organisations to compile war stories and memories. The Public Record Office in Northern ireland has been especially helpful.

Some months ago archivists from PRONI went to collect old records from a school in Beragh, Co Tyrone. Between the pages of the old register of the Lincoln Memorial School they found some wartime poems written by the classes of 1939 and 1940.
