Over fifty years ago, CS Lewis wrote the Chronicles of Narnia. And ever since then, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe have enchanted children and adults across the world. And although Lewis has been claimed by Oxford and the Christian right, it turns out he's actually one of us. CS Lewis was born in Co Down and grew up in Belfast!
In Hollywood, a multi-million dollar epic version of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is being filmed. And just as Hollywood is recognising Lewis' genius, those of us who live near the Holywood Hills should also recognise the lasting genius of this man's work.
