Discuss as a class some of the effects that striving for a ‘size zero’ body has on people who are not naturally that slim.
Invite a doctor or health professional into the class to talk about the effects of severely restricting calorie intake on growing bodies and to talk about the benefits of healthy eating. In preparation for the visit, the pupils come up with a list of questions to ask the health professional on the effects of size zero.
