Create your own water craft
You will need:
16 corks from wine bottles A ball of string A pair of scissors Cocktail sticks (rounded) Wooden skewers Cardboard
Step 1
We need to make four rows of corks. Each row will comprise of four corks joined together end to end with cocktail sticks.
Join the corks using cocktail sticks
Join together a row of four corks
Snap a cocktail stick in half and put it into the end of a cork and push it in until its half way through. Put the end of another cork onto the end of the stick and push the corks together.
Continue doing this until until you have a row of four corks (see above).
And then keep going until you have your four rows of corks.
Line up the four rows of corks
Measure the length of skewer needed
Step 2
Make the rods that sit across the rows of corks and allow us to tie them all together.
Take two skewers and place them across the rows of corks to measure the length of rod needed.
Step 3
Break the skewers at the right length (discard the pointed end). When you have four pairs of rods, cut a piece of string and tie it to the end of one of the pairs of rods.
