Does anyone know a breeder of Norfolk terriers in the county? Contact me at: [email protected] DELLA, GREAT YARMOUTH
I am interested in establishing where two old buildings were/are located, but in particular would like some photographs of them. The first is the Curriers Arms in Essex Street, Heigham, Norwich, which I believe was bombed during the war. The second is Burtons Building in St Peters Road, Great Yarmouth. Any help would be most appreciated. [email protected] ROGER EDWARDS, DARTFORD
I have been reading Andrew Garcia's gig reviews which have been excellent. The wealth of music knowledge and insite on the BBC Norfolk website has been superb. It is the only place to look for this sort of information and I think I can speak for a number of my friends and colleagues. Thanks. ANNE, NORWICH
Just found your site while doing a Google search for Horsey Beach - it's a lovely site. I used to work for the BBC in Norwich when Ian Masters did Look East, so this site brought back lots of memories for me. I am now exiled in Phoenix, Arizona, but hope to be able to come back and visit soon. ROGER CARTER, PHOENIX, ARIZONA
Does anyone know of an organisation called Friend in Norfolk? ANDREW P, SHEFFIELD
Has anybody got any traditional Norfolk family recipes they would like to share?
JACKIE BLOOMFIELD, ATTLEBOROUGH
I discovered BBC Look East when my new VCR installed it automatically. Now I watch all the regional programmes and evening news. I then found the Norfolk website and particularly enjoy the interactive sites and messages. Last year I photographed Norwich on slides and I like the webcams. PETER PITTS, OADBY I liked visiting this site as I have spent many happy holidays in King's Lynn and Hunstanton before emigrating to Australia. My last visit was in 1978, quite a while ago but I shall never forget dear old 'Lynn, although I am a Londoner by birth. Hi! to all who live there especially the Ekes, my husband's relatives. MARJ BUSBY Thank you for the lovely prize I received in the post after writing my thoughts on the magic of Christmas. The three CDs were brilliant, and I was very surprised to receive them. May I wish a very Merry Christmas to all the other writers to Talk Norfolk, and to all who work at the BBC. I enjoy this website very much. Best Wishes to all From Carolyn Davies

I would like to thank all the staff at BBC Norfolk for great entertainment and I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. JOHN, LEICESTER
I just found your site - there is something rather wonderful for me to be fixing my supper here in New York City and yet listening to BBC Norfolk. Many thanks. GINI OTWAY, NEW YORK 'm taking a Performing Arts A-Level at Sprowston High. My group are doing a piece inside the Ikon nightclub, formerly known as the Samson and Hercules. Our piece starts in the 1940s and I would like anyone who used to go there during the war to e-mail me and describe some of their experiences in there. This would help us a lot. Thank you. My e-mail address is [email protected] KATIE, SPIXWORTH

RICHARD, NORWICH click here to see Richard's ecard of Pull's Ferry in Norwich and to submit your own pictures I love this website. I feel like England is just round the corner. I live in Boston, USA, and am from Holt. With the advent of cheap flights I return frequently to Holt, even for a long weekend. Norfolk is the best place in the world. It is so beautiful and unspoilt, and I encourage everybody I know to visit. I am looking for anyone who lives in the Boston, MA, in particular the South Shore, who is from the Holt area to get in touch with me.I am easily reached by email @ [email protected] JUDY LEAMY (nee Cox), WEYMOUTH, MA, USA
As a lifelong resident of Whitby in North Yorkshire, today I have been introduced to your site by a visiting Norfolk friend. Congratulations, it's an excellent site, keep up the good work. I haven't yet found anything like it in Yorkshire. LIZ SHIPLEY, YORKSHIRE
I live in Birmingham, Alabama, and did a teacher exchange in 1986-87 at the Norwich City College of Further and Higher Education where I taught Drama and English A-Levels. When I grow nostalgic for the old city, I come to the webcams and take a peek from atop the Town Hall from which vantage point I got permission to photograph the city when I was there. I also like the shot of the cathedral from the opposite side. I remember the cold winter night when my son and I went up to Mousehold Heath and took night shots of the city. Keep those cams turned on! DAVID ELDER, BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, USA
Can I just say that the first band Engerica on stage at the Big CFG music festival in Norwich at 7ish on the Friday were brilliant loud rock metal that I have to see again! PAUL
Thanks for broadcasting the Chapelfield music festival festivities online. I managed to catch the drumming segment on the live camera. Hope you are able to do more of this in the future. Thanks again. GERRY WILSON, LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY, USA We were very pleased to bring live sound and pictures with our first webcast at the Big CFG music festival. It certainly won't be the last.

I would like to thank you for your informative website and the all of your effort you put into helping the local area and bringing up to date news everyday. If it wasn't for you lots of people wouldn't know what was going on in our local area. You brighten up my day and i am very grateful. Thanks! PAUL WILLIAMS, CARLTON COLVILLE, SUFFOLK
Could we have some pictures of Wells please, the quay, beach huts, pinewoods and lifeboat hut, the Buttlands on Carnival day? NIKI, (EX-NORFOLK, NOW WILTSHIRE) Wells-next-the-Sea quay/harbour could provide a very suitable picture for an e-card, considering the number of visitors we get in Wells. Your existing e-cards are excellent - I have had one sent to me, and I have sent one to Australia. GEOFF SHEARER, WELLS-NEXT-THE SEA Wells will be top of the list when we add new e-cards. In the meantime, we have some great pictures of the town on the site - with time-lapse video. Just click here to see them. JACKIE MEADOWS, PRODUCER, BBC NORFOLK ONLINE
In praise of diversity:
As a born and bred man from Norwich who is now resident in Manchester, the BBC Norfolk Online pages are an outstanding community resource. I will definitely pay another visit to keep informed about whats happening in Norfolk. In particular I am very impressed by the access pages regarding Gay Norfolk which show things are changing for the better and how the BBC is reflecting the diversity of the community it serves KIERAN YATES, MANCHESTER Click here to go to Access Norfolk
E-card ideas: It would be nice to send postcards of Norfolk villages. I would like to send one of Castle Acre. Any chance? S MANSER, NEWTON BY CASTLE ACRE Could we please have a picture of one of Norfolk's windmills, e.g. Horsey Mill, Sutton Mill or Thurne Mill. Thank you. JOHN KENDALL, LEICESTER Thanks for your suggestions - we will include them in our next set of postcards! Click here to see our e-cards and to make your own suggestion. How about a picture of the Red Mount in King's Lynn? ELAINE PARKER, WATLINGTON Cley Windmill is one of my favourite views of Norfolk or the beach huts at Wells-next-the-Sea. CHRIS PUNT, NORWICH
I've just had a look at your website and it is just great. I've just returned from a weekend in Norwich. I took in the show at the Maddermarket (tell everybody to see Privates on Parade), fabulous. The Broads looked wonderful in the sun and so busy, great. Thank you to Norfolk and Norwich for a great weekend in a FINE City. CHRIS KIFT

Just got back from the Agent Orange gig at Hilton I won tickets to last week. Had an excellent time, brilliant group. Thanks a lot. Regards, PAUL MACRO

Hello! I recently purchased a computer, and am new at going online. My mother (who now lives with me) is from Norwich. I was browsing round the internet, and decided to see if I could access Norfolk's weather. Imagine our surprise when we stumbled onto BBC Norfolk Online! I've been to Norwich four times, the last time being two years ago when I brought my mum home for a visit and my then 18-month-old daughter to meet the family there. I have always felt at home around Norfolk and I can't wait to go back. This is fabulous! It is great to have access to so many interesting things about Norfolk! Thank you very much!! GWEN ROLEN, AMITE LOUISIANA, USA
I really enjoy the webcams, I just wish there were more scenes, I have been away from Norwich for over 40 years in the States but still get homesick. Thank you and keep up the good work. KATHLEEN LEACH Just found your web site, as a Norfolk Dumpling I really appreciate being able to have access to the news audio on line. It would be very nice to be able to get Radio Norfolk audio on line all the time. I enjoy the Webcam views of Norwich. JOHN CHAMBERS, MALTA David Clayton, Editor of BBC Radio Norfolk says: Glad you enjoy listening to us! At the moment it is too costly to stream all of our output on the web. We concentrate funds on covering the county of Norfolk as a priority, but we hope to be able to stream the output in the future. Loved the Nana bits on your site. I am a huge fan of Nana's and living in the USA, I have one huge regret - not having the opportunity to have seen Nana and Guests. There are so many Nana fans who are young and did not see the show when it originally aired and/or who live elsewhere. Diane Lagoumis, USA
Hello Norfolk Online Great to hear that you have a interview with the most wonderful and successful artist Nana Mouskouri. I wish you a lot of success and hope that many people go listen and see her during her concerts in England. Janet Aarts, Ammerzoden,The Netherlands Hello Everybody, It is nice to hear that there is an interview with Nana Mouskouri. I am a great fan - I go to all her concerts all over the world. I am listening tonight and I wish you a lot of success. Kind regards, Lidy van den Berg, Holland
Norfolk Online is great! I tune in every now and then, the videos are particularly good.
DAVE, NEW ZEALAND
Just to say thanks for going online. I visit the site every day to find out what's happening at home. Brilliant. MILES HANWELL
Hi Thank you for making our early evening viewing just so hilarious!!!!!! The webcam view of Normandie Tower is one that will remain imprinted in our minds for ever. Keep up the good work. With eager anticipation to the next earth shattering event. John Lyndon-Taylor, Diss (where not a lot really happens in the evening) Re: comment from Mr John Lyndon-Taylor of Diss. I do appreciate that not all events in the Norwich area can capture your imagination. You may consider the webcam image of Normandie Tower to be boring. May I suggest that the 100-plus people who have temporarily lost their homes may disagree with you. S.Julie, Normandie Tower My comments about the Normandie Tower reporting may have been a little "light hearted". I and my wife do appreciate the general good reporting of local news - but there are times when it seems that the media seems to grasp anything that's happening in the area and report it TO DEATH. To the people involved, of course its a serious matter but to Joe Soap, the public, it has little or no relevance at all. JohnLyndon-Taylor, Diss
Hello! I am an American who loves to visit Norwich...my self-proclaimed home away from home. I truly love the website and the webcam. I listen to your newscast every morning to keep up with things. I was a presenter for 30 years here in Georgia in the USA. I was actually interviewed at your fine studio in 1993. I remember they played a short tape of part of my program and a caller told me to get back to America as soon as possible! Now I freelance voice work and design web sites. If you ever need a Yank let me know! Keep up the great work. I won't be able to make it back to visit this year...but soon! Bill Elder Macon, Georgia USA
I've just discovered the site and think it's wonderful. Born and raised in Norwich, I left to live in the Far East, then Canada. I miss the laid back atmosphere, the friendliness and the naturalness of the people - plus the market stalls. I visit as often as I can, and read about Norfolk via the internet. I've been out of the country for nearly 30 years, but there's no place like home. JUDITH LESSITER, MONTREAL, CANADA
I love the site! I lived in Norfolk for almost two years, married a local girl and we get back every two years. We live in California now (USA, not the coastal village one) and miss Norfolk tremendously. This site is almost like visiting on a weekly basis and makes being away from family and familiar places a little easier. Keep up the good work! WILLIAM COURANT, ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA, USA
Very good site. I am from Greece and my grandmother lives in Wymondham outside Norwich. My mother and my grandmother are both from Norwich and I love England. NIKOS, GREECE
