Bank holiday proposed in Scotland for first World Cup match

Scotland's first minister has proposed a bank holiday to celebrate the men's team playing in its first World Cup since 1998 this summer.
John Swinney said: "This is a moment 28 years in the waiting - and I want as many people as possible to share the occasion."
The bank holiday would be on 15 June, the day after Scotland face Haiti in Boston.
The proposal will be formally confirmed once it has approval from the King.
So would you get a day off school if you're in Scotland? Keep reading to find out.

There were cheers all round as Scotland reached the World Cup for the first time in nearly 30 years
If you live in Scotland, you might get an extra day off on Monday 15 June.
The Scottish government doesn't have the power to give people across the country an extra day off work, or school, even though Scotland can set distinct bank holidays separate from the rest of the UK.
It's down to individual businesses and organisations to decide if they'll observe it.
The school holidays have already been set by local councils for this year, although it's thought some schools might look at giving the special bank holiday as a day off.
The proposal will be formally confirmed once it has been rubber-stamped by the King.
Watch the moment Scotland qualify for the World Cup
Scotland managed to avoid the play-offs and secure their spot in the World Cup this summer after a 4-2 victory against Denmark in November.
It's the first time they've reached the tournament since 1998.
Their first game in the tournament is against Haiti in Boston at 02:00 GMT on Sunday 14 June.
They'll later take on Morocco and Brazil in their remaining group fixtures in the United States.
