Whole model village made out of gingerbread!

A gingerbread village made by local residents for Christmas is displayed in the culture house in Somoskoujfalu, Hungary, 23 December 2020 (issued 24 December 2020). The exhibition is open to the public until 31 January 2021.EPA

It looks like a regular model village until you look closer - then you see it's all been baked and made from gingerbread!

If you've not had gingerbread before, it's a traditional Christmas baked treat - from cakes to biscuits - that's typically flavoured with ginger and other spices.

Icing is used to decorate the gingerbread with different designs - and in this case turn the cakes and biscuits into houses and people!

Placed on a huge white table and with a giant snowman in the background it creates the perfect traditional Christmas scene. Bit tempting for nibblers though...

The public can visit the village until the end of January to see this impressive creation by its local residents.
