Sigma have apologised to fans after cancelling a performance at a concert in Birmingham funded by the campaign group Leave.EU.
The drum and bass duo pulled out of the gig because they said they didn't want to be part of "a political event".
Leave.EU is one of the main groups campaigning for the UK to vote to leave the EU.
"We're sorry to any fans that paid for tickets to see us play at Bpoplive," the pair tweeted.
"We weren't told Bpoplive was a political event..."

The event itself, due to take place on 8 May, was billed as an EU referendum music festival in February with posters carrying the Leave.EU logo.
Sigma say once they were made aware of who was funding the gig, they pulled out.
"We're not available for hire by politicians trying to use us to speak to you, our fans," they wrote on Twitter.

Ella Eyre was also advertised on the bill
A spokesperson from Leave.EU told Newsbeat that they funded the event, but it is supposed to be about encouraging people to vote, not which way to vote.
"It will be a bit like the BBC's Children in Need," a spokesperson said.
"We are paying for it but nothing 'Leave' related will be on stage."

They say there will be performances and also speakers talking about the importance of voting.
"We are disappointed that Sigma have pulled out but more disappointed with the media hounding the artists and giving them incorrect information."
Ella Eyre's picture appeared on advertising posters for the concert but her publicist is quoted as saying "she isn't playing and was never confirmed".
