Approachable, natural, stunning - just a few words locals in the town of Bucklebury in Berkshire have used to describe Kate Middleton.

Many of the people who have watched Kate grow up have been invited to the royal wedding.

She will marry Prince William at Westminster Abbey on Friday (29 April).

Newsbeat's been speaking to some of those who've been lucky enough to receive that royal invite.

"We're over the moon! I've got my morning suit, my wife's got her outfit, we just feel that it's a great privilege to be asked to go to the royal wedding.

"She's such a bubbly, natural, stunning girl, her and William together are just one piece, let's face it, they were made for each other.

"I'm not surprised [about locals being invited]. This is where she was born, brought up, educated. We're a tightly-knitted community, everybody knows everybody and we all look out for each other. She's not forgotten where her roots are.

"Anybody is brave getting into the royal family, it's a very hard job to do. Kate's got the will and the mind and the strength to go alongside William and they'll carry this through."

The pub landlord: John Haley, Old Boot Inn

"They've both been here. They come in and relax, they mingle with other customers, not at arm's length or anything, they're just a normal couple that come in.

"When [William came into the pub] it was a bit, 'Wow, it's Prince William.' But he soon put everyone at ease and now he's been in a number of times.

"I'm not fazed about being around Kings and Queens from other countries, we get celebrities in here and that doesn't really do it for me. The main thing I want to see is Kate and her dad, Mike, walk down the aisle, because that will give me a big buzz.

"I've got to say someone said to me, 'Make sure you take a hanky.' I'm getting a bit choked now, but I'll make sure I take a hanky because it will be very emotional, I'm sure."

The shopkeeper: Hash Shingadia, Spar

"The very first time she brought him in it was a total shock, we didn't recognise him straight away but obviously when they did the shop, she introduced him. I shook his hand and he spoke to us for a while.

"You could see there was a chemistry between them, the way they looked at each other, you could see there's a lot of love between the two.

"She is very nice, very approachable, she's got a natural radiance about her. A sort of presence. She's always smiling, very polite. Calm and collected.

"Feeling very nervous, as the time is getting nearer and nearer both my wife and I are getting quite anxious. At the moment there are butterflies in our stomach."
