An RAF Valley helicopter battled against a high wind and turbulence to rescue an injured woman on Snowdon on Bank Holiday Monday.
Crews were called to the Pyg Track at 16:30 BST after reports the 36-year-old from Chester had broken her ankle.
The woman was winched to safety and flown to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
Meanwhile, members of Llanberis mountain rescue team used ropes to lead a climber to safety after being cragfast near Nant Peris.
