A man has appeared in court accused of assaulting and robbing an 80-year-old woman in her home near Selkirk.
Taylor Wright, 20, of no fixed abode, faces seven charges including entering the property in the Yarrow Valley in possession of an imitation firearm.
He is also accused of stealing a car and taking the woman's bank card to withdraw money from an ATM in Selkirk.
He made no plea or declaration at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and the case was continued. He was remanded in custody.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on Wednesday evening.
