Police are making a further appeal for witnesses a week after a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted south west of Edinburgh.
She was walking along Newmills Road in Balerno at 00:30 on Thursday when a man approached her from behind, threatened her and took her into a field.
Police said it was a "very distressing" incident for the young woman.
Det Insp Grant Johnston said officers had carried out extra patrols in the area as well as reviewing CCTV footage.

He said: "We have had a good response from the public so far but we are still urging anyone with information to come forward."

Last week, police said there were similarities to another sex attack in the Craiglockhart area of Edinburgh earlier in August.
