A man has been acquitted of a rape charge after the case against him was found not proven.

John Branchfield had been accused of attacking a 45-year-old woman in St Cuthbert's Church graveyard beside Lothian Road in Edinburgh in August 2012.

But the jury in his trial returned a not proven verdict in July 2013.
