The plants were found in two buildings, police said
Police have uncovered cannabis plants with an estimated street value of almost £1m in two buildings just over a mile apart within a week.
Officers found 1,500 plants valued at £715,00 in Fenton on Tuesday. Five days earlier they recovered about £200,000 worth of plants in nearby Longton.
Staffordshire Police described the finds as "significant" and thanked the public for providing information.
Two men arrested after Tuesday's raid have been released on police bail.
Ch Insp Rob Taylor, from the force, said: "This is a significant find of cannabis in the south of the city which will no longer find its way on to our streets."
