A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a girl who was sexually assaulted and stabbed to death in Bath more than 30 years ago.
Student Melanie Road was 17 when she was attacked after a night out in June 1984. Her body was found in front of garages near St Stephens Road.
A 63-year-old man from Bristol remains in police custody.
An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said it would be "inappropriate for us to comment further at this stage".
