Work on a major £150m road widening scheme in the East Midlands has started near Nottingham.
Detailed plans for the project on the A453 between junction 24 of the M1 at Kegworth and the A52 will be on display for two days.
The Highways Agency is hosting the exhibits at Clifton on Saturday and at Kegworth on Sunday.
The project aims to cut congestion and improve journey times and safety, an agency spokesman said.
New lanes
The widening of the seven-mile stretch of the road, which runs from East Midlands Airport to Nottingham and is often congested, was announced in the government's 2011 Autumn Statement.
Work on the project is expected to run until the summer of 2015.
The early stages of work, external on the rural section of the road will be carried out away from the existing carriageway.
The work through Clifton, which will include the addition of two new lanes, will mean traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction.
Traffic management will be put in place, including a new temporary 40mph speed limit from the M1 junction 24 to the edge of Clifton and a temporary 30mph speed limit though Clifton.
