A man who died following a shooting in Liverpool was a "happy-go-lucky character who lived life to the full", his family said in a tribute.
Mark Hillman, 26, was shot twice in the back before being found on a pavement in Lloyd Close, Everton, Liverpool, at about 17:15 BST on Wednesday.
He died later in hospital. Police are treating it as a "targeted attack" and a murder investigation is under way.
In a statement, Mr Hillman's family said: "He was a devoted family man."
"He was a happy-go-lucky character who lived life to the full and enjoyed socialising with his many friends," it said.
Police were called after a member of the public heard several loud bangs.
"We would like to thank the local residents who came to Mark's aid," the statement added.
