
Police have identified a body they found on Monday as that of missing pensioner Marion Scott
Police have confirmed a body found in a remote part of Lincolnshire on Monday is that of missing pensioner Mary (Marion) Scott.
The 83-year-old from Market Rasen who had been missing since 7 December died of natural causes, a spokesman said.
The body of the pensioner who had dementia was found on Monday afternoon on land in the Sixhills area near to Market Rasen.
A search involving helicopters, planes, and boats had been carried out.
Insp Simon Outen thanked all the volunteers who had taken part in the search which concentrated on a 6 km (3.7 miles) area around Hainton, between Market Rasen and Wragby.
