Police are appealing for the baby's mother to get in touch
A newborn baby found outside the vicarage of a church has died.
West Yorkshire Police said the baby boy was found outside the vicarage of St Peter's Church, in Hough Lane, Bramley, on Wednesday morning.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance but was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.
The force said it is "extremely concerned for the mother's welfare" and is appealing for information.
Officers said the child's mother may be in need of urgent medical attention given the potential circumstances surrounding the baby's birth.
