A mother who stabbed her two young daughters to death will not be giving evidence in her own defence, a jury has been told.
Samira Lupidi, 24, denies murdering 17-month-old Jasmine Weaver and three-year-old Evelyn Lupidi at a refuge in Bradford in November.
She admits manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
The jury at Bradford Crown Court heard the case was about her mental state at the time she attacked them.
The prosecution concluded its case earlier.
Angela Rafferty QC said Miss Lupidi would not be giving evidence.
Nine stab wounds
The court previously heard Ms Lupidi and the girls ended up in the refuge after she called police to her home in West Yorkshire.
Jurors heard she told officers she was scared her partner, Carl Weaver, 31, was going to kill her and he had slapped her twice the night before.
The following day, staff at the refuge found Ms Lupidi running out of the flat she had been allocated and shouting she had "killed the children".
Both girls were found on their beds, each with nine stab wounds, the court heard.
