The woman accepted a lift in Church Road before being driven to Rusthall
A woman was raped in woodland after leaving a bar and accepting a lift from a man.
The woman, in her 20s, had left a bar in Tunbridge Wells and took a lift from a man in Church Road at about 03:00 BST on Saturday, Kent Police said.
She was driven in a black hatchback to an area of woodland near Rusthall, where she was forced from the car and raped, the force said.
She tried to walk away but was followed by her attacker.
Det Ins Geoff Payne said: "We believe she approached another man to seek assistance, but it would appear he was unable to understand her due to her distressed state.
"This man may have important information which can help with our enquiries and may even have also have spoken to the suspect."
