About 100 toy Matchbox cars in original boxes and worth more than £2,000 have been stolen during a burglary, said Humberside Police.

An industrial unit near Hedon Road, Hull, was burgled overnight on Friday when the cars along with cash and a safe were stolen.

One toy car was left behind and police asked anyone who comes across similar cars offered for sale to contact them.

The stolen cars have "huge sentimental value" for their owner, police said.
