Work on installing the paving in Grimsby town centre was only fully completed in March
Streets in Grimsby town centre are having to be dug up because of safety concerns - just nine months after being laid.
The block paving, which covers both the pavement and road on some central streets, has worked loose because of heavy traffic.
The work was completed as part of a major redevelopment of the town centre.
It is the second time some of the paving has had to be dug up - the first was after an electricity fault in May.
North East Lincolnshire Council said the raised table area on Bethlehem Street at the junction with Station Approach and parts of Town Hall Street would be among the sections re-laid.
Council leader Chris Shaw said: "People have told us that while they've welcomed the overall scheme and the positive image it's given the town centre, they're concerned about some specific parts which are used by buses, lorries and other large vehicles."
