An investigation has been launched after two prisoners were taken to hospital following an alleged assault at HMP Hewell.
Police were called to the prison in Redditch, Worcestershire, at about 16:30 GMT on Thursday.
West Mercia Police said: "Two prisoners were subsequently taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening."
An investigation is underway and police inquiries are ongoing.

Police said the men had since returned to the prison.
The alleged assault occurred a day after a meeting between the Prison Officers Association and the government over the rise in violence and suicides in prisons.
