A grade I listed building, in danger of collapse, is to be repaired after action was taken to save it.
The Red Wing, a building attached to Croome Court in Worcestershire, has been on the English Heritage at Risk register for several years.
A Malvern District council spokesman said the building's decline had been "severe".
The Croome Heritage Trust has bought the building and intends to embark on an extensive programme of repairs.
The building will be leased to the National Trust who also helped to buy it.
