Police were called to Arne Court after reports of men carrying firearms in the early hours of Sunday 18 October
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over a firearms incident in Essex in which shots were fired at police.
The man was arrested in Basildon shortly after 03:00 GMT on Tuesday.
A number of men were seen in the Arne Court area of Laindon carrying firearms on Sunday 18 October.
One suspect ran off, and it is believed a firearm was discharged at officers, but no-one was injured, police said. A man was later charged with robbery.
