
A murder inquiry over Albert Williams' death was launched two weeks after the fire at Cedar Close
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 67-year-old's body was found after a fire at his flat.
Albert Williams was found in Cedar Close, Southend-on-Sea, on 8 August. A post-mortem examination revealed he had suffered serious internal injuries.
Police are due to question two men, aged 39 and 43, both of no fixed address. The 43-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
A man from Southend who was being held on suspicion of murder has been bailed.
