Two arrested for Newton Abbot hit and run

Two men have been arrested for attempted murder after a suspected hit and run in Devon.

A man had been walking on The Avenue in Netwon Abbot in the early hours of Sunday morning when he was struck by a car.

A 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old man have been released on police bail until 20 October.

The victim, who has not been named, was in an induced coma at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, police said.
