
Alex Jeffery, 21, was involved in a fight in Cambridge city centre before he was hit by a car, police said
A man has been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man who was knocked down by a car in Cambridge.
Alex Jeffery was hit after being involved in a fight outside the Cambridge City Hotel on Downing Street, on 1 November, police said.
Mr Jeffery, of Orchard Road, Melbourn, died in hospital a week later.
Jack Mulcahy, 24, from Capulet Court, Huntingdon, is due at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, charged with his murder.

Officers said Mr Jeffery was hit outside the four-star hotel, next to John Lewis, at about 03:40 GMT.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place in the next few days.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward, including two security guards who came to Mr Jeffery's aid on the night.
His family said in a statement he was a "fun-loving, kind and caring son, grandson and brother".
