Four men have appeared in court accused of preparing to commit acts of terrorism.
They were arrested after police raids in Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent on 26 August.
Those charged are: Naweed Ali, 28, of Evelyn Road, Sparkhill; Khobaib Hussain, 24, also of Evelyn Road, Sparkhill; Mohibur Rahman, 31, of High Lane, Stoke-on-Trent; Tahir Aziz, 37, of Wulstan Road, Stoke-on-Trent.
A fifth man has been released.
The men appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Friday and were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 19 September.
