Two Walsall men charged with terrorism offences

Two men from Walsall are due in court charged with helping to fund terrorism.

Mohammed Atiqur Khan, 27, from Buckle Close, faces two counts of arranging funds or property for the purposes of terrorism.

Maruf Uddin, 26, from Earls Road, is accused of one count of the same charge.

They were arrested in a raid by counter-terrorism officers on 14 January and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Two other men arrested in an operation in the town two days earlier are currently in custody awaiting a court date.

Mohammed Iqbal Hussain, 25, faces four charges and 32-year-old Mohamed Suyaubur Rohaman, both of Castle Road, faces one charge of funding terrorism.
