An investigation is under way to find the cause of the fire
A woman has died in a fire at her Birmingham home.
Two ambulances, a paramedic and trauma doctor arrived on Birchdale Road, in Erdington, shortly before 05:30 GMT.
The woman, who has not been named, was brought out of the house by crews from West Midlands Fire Service.
Despite receiving CPR she was confirmed dead at the scene. Her pets, two dogs and a parrot, also died. A fire service spokesman said the cause of the fire was accidental.
