Birmingham 'murder' woman named as Andrea Carr, 23

A woman found dead in a Birmingham home has been named by police.

The body of Andrea Carr, 23, was found when officers were called to a property in Nechells Park Road on Thursday.

West Midlands Police said her death was being treated as murder but a post mortem had proved inconclusive and further tests would be carried out to establish the cause of death.

A 30-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder, has been sectioned under the mental health act.

Police said he would be questioned at a later stage.

Det Insp Martin Slevin said the force was not looking for anyone else in connection with her death.
